Jeremy Meeks, the Californian criminal whose handsome mugshot went viral has been released from prison. We don't know if there was a bevy of maidens celebrating his release by throwing their knickers at him Tom Jones concert-style, but we'd like to think there was.
In case his Calvin Klein ad good looks distracted you from his back story, let us remind how he found fame in the first. Jez, as we fondly call him, became a viral star when his mugshot was shared on the Stockton Police Department's Facebook page. The photo drew thousands of admiring followers who were enamored with his blue eyes and high cheekbones. Some users joked that Ralph Lauren better sign him up fast. (We were quite serious about it.)
The 32 year old was sentenced to two years in jail in 2015 for possession of a firearm but has been released early.

Jez has now has been signed up by California-based talent agency White Cross Management, and as he says in the caption, he's ready to take advantage of his viral fame. His agent is also excited about the former prisoner's future.
"We have a lot in store regarding Jeremy's new career," Mr Jordan said in a statement. "There are a multitude of offers on the table. Jeremy is humbled and grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for him and his family."
Maybe we'll forget that police have previously described Meeks as 'one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area'. We're sure he's turned over a new leaf.
