The Lion King is truly one of those childhood defining movies, we're pretty sure that the very first time our wee heart's broke was when Mufasa met his maker. Have any of us ever truly been the same since?
Time to get your nostalgia hats on now as a sequel is on the way albeit in TV movie form, but hey, that counts too. And the best news of it all? James Earl Jones is returning as the voice of Mufasa!
Now as we know Mufasa is of course, well, dead so we are assuming he will be there as some sort of wise lion ghost type character, didn't he appear in the sky to guide Simba at some point in the movie?
The flick will be called The Lion Guard: Return Of The Roar and is set to follow the story of Kion (Simba's son) as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands.
It will also feature the voices of Rob Lowe as Simba, Ernie Sabella as Pumbaa, Gabrielle Union as Nala and Max Charles as Kion.
The movie will act as a precursor to the 'Lion Guard' TV series which will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney Junior channels worldwide in early 2016.
