We didn't get the memo but it appears that it is viral video Wednesday. If I'd known, I'd have made you all some popcorn and nachos.
First we had the beautiful #Irelandinspires, a Fáilte Ireland-produced animated postcard that gave us the all the proud feels. Oh, look, speck of dust in my eye…..
And the second must-see video doing the visual rounds today will have you peeping through your fingers when it opens with what is one of the most awkward introduction sequences known to modern man.
The production, entitled 'First Kiss', is the creation of Tatia Pilieva, a Los Angeles-based filmmaker. Her idea is simple - get twenty complete strangers to kiss passionately for the first time in front of the camera.
As Miley would say, holymotherahgod.

If you look at this with the sound off, the uncomfortable body language just LEAPS off the screen. If they had the option to hack off their own arm with a rusty blade instead of lobbing the gob, some of them look like they might actually jump at the offer.
Some are so shy that it feels voyeuristic to watch, and then other couples just kinda get on with it and eh, get it on (girl in stripy dress and beanie boy, imma lookin' at you). But overall (though it may be to do with the black and white shots and the beauty of the participants), I think the piece is surprisingly sweet.
And Greg and Ingrid are my favourites, they are just so delightfully formal and 'nice to meet you' about it all.
And at well over 23 million hits, this soppy story has gone around the world like wildfire. I suppose it's like the experience of the participants themselves, starting hesitantly and slowly and then you can see a few fireworks going off.

And I wonder, how many of them got together after the shoot, huh?
What do you reckon about the video, is it poignant and sweet or just play voyeuristic? And how about YOUR very first kiss, is there any amount of money that would entice you to see that on film?! To the comments!
