Tonight, former Westlife member Nicky Byrne will compete in the second Eurovision semi-final in the hopes that he will qualify for Saturday night's final in Stockholm.
Ireland, of course, has had an illustrious track record in the Eurovision in the past, but we have not qualified for the final since 2013.
