Looks like Dermot O'Leary's gap year from the X Factor has paid off, as the presenter has just signed an extremely lucrative deal with ITV to host the talent show. Even better, it's a four year contract, so Dermot thankfully won't be going anywhere for a while.
The deal is for the tidy sum of £8 million (€9.6 million), with a source telling The Sun; "This is the comeback of all comebacks for Dermot. Just one year after [Simon] Cowell axed him, he's signing the contract of a lifetime.
"It's completely unheard of for one presenter to be paid £8 million to host one show. There hasn't been a deal like it since Jonathan Ross was getting millions a year from the BBC to host his chat show.
"The X Factor just didn't work without Dermot. Getting him to come back was absolutely essential for its future."

No arguments here, once Dermot is back on his rightful spot telling us our 'SATURDAY NIGHT STARTS HERE!' with that little twirl of his - all will be right with the world once more.
