It was reported in the last 24 hours that Charlie Sheen was expected to reveal he was HIV Positive on the Today Show on NBC, and it's just been confirmed that he has.
The actor told host Matt Lauer that he was diagnosed with the disease 'roughly four years ago' adding that he has 'told enough that I trusted' but that he has also paid people for their silence saying it was 'enough to bring it into the millions'.
He also said that he is not entirely sure how he contracted the disease but that it was 'impossible' for him to have transmitted it to anyone since his diagnosis.
He also told Lauer, "I have a responsibility now to better myself and help a lot of other people."
Adding, "I think I release myself from this prison today."
