Ever had a week of dieting and gone to step on the scales on your weigh in day fully expecting to be down a pound or two - and then found that the scales were the same - OR MORE than last week? How could this have happened? You stuck to your diet faithfully, you even weighed your food for gods sake - didn't you? You picked the low fat options on the couple of times you ate out.
Well the truth apparently is that many of us unwittingly sabotage our own diets. We pick, we nibble, we eat a little bit off someone else's plate. We finish up the kids chips. We have those extra glasses of wine and just one or two of those chocolates when the box is sitting there opened.
Because it's a fact people. Proven many times by me. Men love to open boxes of chocolates. And eat one out of them. And then leave them open for you to finish.
And men, in case you think I'm picking on you I'm really not. But you do tend to be the main saboteurs of the diet of your wife/girlfriend. Maybe not unwittingly, but God knows there are enough couples out there where the status quo depends on one partner being bigger then she/he is happy with.

What do you all think? Is this ringing any bells with you - let me know!
UPDATE: of course, I should have qualified the point that men tend to be the main saboteurs of diets by adding - apart from YOURSELF. So thanks Montagne!
