Did you ever look at your dog and think "Mmm...you'd be cuter if you looked more like Yoda"?
Ever wish your boring old pooch looked more, well, visually exciting?
Well now you can - thanks to creative dog grooming, the latest craze sweeping the US that manages to make Emma Watson's pink pooch and the doggy manicure phenomenon look positively run-of-the-mill.
Nutty dog owners cut, shave and dye their poor unfortunate mutts to resemble a variety of un-doglike things. There's Yodadog, as mentioned above, but also dogs made up in the style of unicorns, rainbows, and Sesame Street characters.

Naturally, they don't do it just for fun. There's serious money in this - top prizes at creative grooming contests can reach over 20,000 big ones.
Personally, I would be fully up for a Toddlers & Tiaras-style reality show about creatively groomed dogs. Just like child beauty pageants, creative dog grooming isn't something I would do myself, but it's hella entertaining to watch other people doing it. However, you have to feel sorry for the doggies involved. They have literally NO say in the goings-on, and most of the time they come out of it looking like eejits.

Whaddya think - barmy or brilliant? Would you doll up your pooch like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?
