With all the white, frills, shimmering nudes, lovely lace, and nary a sequin in sight (apart from Julianne Moore, Olivia Wilde, Viola Davis, who looked DIVINE) on display, there was a definite ethereal theme to last night's Golden Globe red carpet.
It seems fitting to kick off with Saoirse. While she may have lost out to Jennifer Lawrence in the Best Actress category, she looked every inch the goddess on the red carpet in caped Saint Laurent.
Also rocking white on the night, we had Taraji P. Henson in a watteau train, Laverne Cox (Elizabeth Kennedy), Jane Fonda (in Yves Saint Laurent Couture by Hedi Slimane) and Malin Ackerman (Reem Acra) in mega frills, as well as Alicia Vikander in a stunning apron dress. You can check out all the style in the gallery below.
Eva Longoria brought a splash of colour to her white ensemble..
And rocking deep blues (although you could argue that it's black...), we have our lovely Catriona Balfe in Alexander McQueen.
We also had Bryce Dallas Howard, Julianne Moore (in Tom Ford), classic Kate Winslet (Ralph Lauren), and Gina Rodriguez, while Downton's Joanne Froggatt opted for a slightly lighter blue in a Reem Acra dress.
Those keeping it nude in various hues include Kate Hudson, Cate Blanchett (in Givenchy Haute Couture by Ricardo Tisci), her co-start Rooney Mara (Alexander McQueen), and the newly engaged Rosie Huntington Whitely (more on that later).

Surprisingly, the only person who seemed to wear straight up red on the night was Jennifer Lawrence in a stunning cut out Dior dress.

Those also bringing a bit blush colour to proceedings include Natalie Dormer in J. Mendel, Zendaya in Marchesa, Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors Collection, Amber Heard in floating Gucci as did Rachel McAdams in Lanvin, and Katy Perry looked pretty in plunging pink Prada.
Jennifer Lopez knocked 'em dead in yellow Giambattisa Valli...
Meanwhile, those going for something different, we have Olivia Palermo in a Delpozo cocktail dress.
Amy Adams stunned in Atelier Versace, as did Jada Pinkett Smith (also Atelier Versace).
Those opting for fashion favourite, that being staple black, we have Taylor Shilling in Thakoon's black bugle beaded suit, GOT's Emilia Clarke, and Lady Gaga's Leo DiCaprio bumping hips in Atelier Versace.
