Now, here's one we'll have fun debating: on last week's post about the Body Shop Shimmer Cubes, reader Rachel said something really interesting:
"I’d much prefer to buy that cube set with half the product for €12.50 or something rather than the huge amount of a type you’ll never use up like you said. I love buying expensive makeup and body care but I think the Body Shop just isn’t worth the price they charge for stuff even though I’d like to try some of it but like you said I baulk at the prices. L’Oreal are hardly struggling for profits so they should keep their middle market brands in the middle market price bracket!"
What do you think? In the case of the Shimmer Cubes, yeah definitely - the Body Shop could easily halve the product and the price along with it and you'd still get a great product you'd get a year's use from. Would you like to see the same thing from other brands? A 15ml foundation from Chanel for €20 as opposed to €40? A half-sized lipstick for €15 instead of the full-whack from Dior and a Mac shadow single with less than a gram of product but an under a tenner price point?

Equally, would brands clean up in your eyes if they released palettes with smaller amounts of product in them at much cheaper prices? To the comments, if you please - this is (of course!) a matter that needs urgent comment-based attention.
