We always hear of some crazy colour being the new black but let's be honest here, black will always be the fail-safe colour.
If you are like most people in the world, and if you have 'nothing to wear' you probably turn to black. A little black dress, black jeans and a top, a dress and black tights - it's just so handy. Black makes you feel good because it's slimming, forgiving and doesn't clash with anything. My point is most of us wear black a lot so here are our top two makeup looks to wear with black according to the Golden Globes attendees.
This year everybody wore black on the red carpet. (Well, almost everyone.) Even though there were a few different makeup looks, there was a pattern clear to be seen. Yes, a few quirky guests pulled off a vampy black lipstick or blue eyeshadow but the majority stuck to the same two makeup looks.

The two most popular makeup looks were the smoky eye/nude lip combination and the nude eye/red lip combination. Both are winners so you can go with whichever you would feel more comfortable with. However, I would urge you to try out a red lip. I believe there is a shade of red for everybody. You just have to find it and wear it with attitude on your next girls night out.
