Hooha! Vichy has already made a foray into paraben-free skincare with their lovely and affordable Essentielles line, and this news is also very timely given our recent guest post on the issue of safety of paraben usage, written by cosmetic scientist Colin Sanders.
Aqualia has just been reformulated and is now paraben-free too. It's a line which is suitable for every skin type as it's designed purely to add hydration to the skin. Use it to supplement issue-specific products that you may be slapping on to control acne, for example, or if you're using heavy-duty anti-agers but feel you also need some extra hydration, it's perfect for giving the skin an extra shot of moisture. Still not sure what it's for? Read all about it here!
Not only has the company changed the formulation to revove parabens, it's also added in something called ultra-comfort Aquabioryl, which "helps soothe and provide a unique sensation of comfort and softness to the skin. It also reduces the irritating and allergic effects of all external agents leaving the skin intensely moisturised, soft and supple."
