Keeping a close eye on Urban Decay's Twitter account and Facebook page, I was interested last week when the brand showcased snaps of the forthcoming and hotly anticipated Book of Shadows IV palette. These yokes are always way more than mere palettes though and IV looks like it's going to be even more popup-tastic than its predecessors.
A Christmas launch, this will be hitting Urban Decay counters in October and it will cost €52 here (£46 in the UK so a really fair exchange, hurray!).
And here we go. A quick scrouge on Temptalia reveals that there are 16 shadow shades (six existing, ten new) as well as a full-sized version 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion, travel-sized Supercurl Curling Mascara and travel-sized Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
You also get butterflies, more butterflies and then some extra butterflies, a mirror - and get this, an iPod docking doohickey which includes a portable speaker plus USB cord and audio cable. There's also a Get the Look QR card which you can scan with your phone for more downloady goodness. Phew!

These swatches were done by an Urban Decay staffer; I'm showing them to you for info'mation purposes, yo. They're swatched from the bottom row of the palette up, so you can see the transition from neutrals to show-off shades for night. If you own a lot of the existing colours you may pass on IV, but if you don't - well hey, there's a nice mix in here. Shades are, from top left in the palette down:
- Blue Bus
- Gunmetal
- Cobra
- Baked
- Bender
- Gravity
- Lost
- Hijack
- Midnight Cowgirl
- Sin
- Midnight Rodeo
- Crystal
- Bust
- Missionary
- Skimp
- Zephyr
What do you think? One for the Christmas list or will you pass?
