Metallic lips might remind you of playing dress up when you were ten but there are more modern ways to wear it.
This look on the catwalks at Fashion Week was very reminiscent of the '90s makeup era when glitter and metallic lips were rife.
The easiest way to wear it is with a light wash of colour on your eyes. Think pale gold tones or champagne pink from the Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes palette. If you would prefer to balance out the metallic lips with a matte eyeshadow, go for something like Urban Decay Naked. You can leave the eyes with no eyeliner and just frame them with lots of mascara.
Metallic finish products can be drying on the lips so prepare them with a lip conditioner beforehand. This trend is about going bold or going home; the colour should be applied strong and defined or it will look like a 10-year-old was playing with your face!
