If you're stuck in a bit of a hair rut we are challenging you to try something different. Here are some extraordinary hairstyles for you to try.

Are you so super bored of wearing your hair the same way all the time? I think we all have our go-to hairstyles and it's hard to break out of the box sometimes. You know what suits you and how you like your hair in pictures so you get stuck in a hair rut. It happens easily and it happens to everyone. So we are challenging you to step outside your comfort zone and try out a new hairstyle. Even if it's just once a week, you can feel like a different person with a different hairstyle for a day.

We're talking about the more normal hairstyle-wearers here. The girls, like me, who have two basic hairstyles - hair down when it's fresh and clean and hair up in a pony the rest of the time. Here are a few do-able ideas to break out of your comfort zone and try something different.

We think this first one is super cute. You may think it's a bit ridiculous or little-girlie but if you get it right it can be really pretty. It involves turning your hair into a bow. No bow accessory needed, no, no; your hair actually becomes the bow.

The next hairstyle is pretty risqué but we reckon it's worth the risk. It's a bit punk and a bit drastic but remember hair grows back! You can shave half your head or just the underside of your hair. It's far out but it's a pretty cool, sexy hair-do. Remember when Natalie Dormer did it? It looked pretty hot, we think.

Our last try-something-different hairstyle is way less scary and way less of a commitment. We still think it packs a punch and brightens up your bun. You basically French plait the underside of your hair and then put your hair in a bun. Simples.
