Regular readers will know we've been banging on for several months now about the parlous state of pricing within the cosmetics sector. As a bit of research and digging, eh, dug up a while back, it's not uncommon for us to pay 40% more than our UK counterparts for the same products. All those goose down and gold leafed boxes they send the stuff over here to us in cost cash, eh?
So while we've been glad to note that some prices are leveling, we were even more pleased when Rosemary MacCabe at the Irish Times got in touch to tell us she was writing about the issue. Her excellent piece on the euro/sterling disparity and what Irish women are doing about it, is in today's paper. You can also have a read of it online.
