Forget Bling Strands, the one hair trend that's taken Ireland by storm in recent months has been the permanent blow dry, which landed at Dublin's Dylan Bradshaw salon a few months ago. It was an immediate and huge success for the company and where one leads, others follow.
Not all 12-week treatments are the same, though they all work on a similar principle: a mix of cocoa, plant vitamins and red clay is painted onto wet hair, blow-dryed in and then a straightener is used to seal the mix into the hair cuticle. Different types of the treatment use differing ingredients (some use chemicals like formaldehyde) to deliver you that three-month manageability so many of us crave.
We've been getting loads of queries from non-Dublin readers as to where the treatment can be found, and if you're in Cork, you're in luck as the city's Adore salon is now offering the Keratin Complex 12 Week Blow Dry. 12 weeks of 95% frizz-free hair is the promise made by the salon. Reader MontyC checked out Adore last year and liked it, so this place comes with the Beaut.ie seal of approval. Cork residents will find it at 129-130, Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork, phone 021 427 0031 for more info and pricing.

In Dublin, another location with a superglued Beaut.ie stamp of goodness is Queen Beauty Emporium. Located on Dublin's Aungier street, They're also offering a 12 week service that promises to humidity-proof hair and make blowdrying up to 60% quicker. The Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy, from €250, is also interesting in that it's formaldehyde-free.
