Denzille before the hordes descended
First off, lets get the all-important thanks out there: many, many whoops and cheers for the wonderful people at Universal - and specifically Maryse - who made Friday's super-exclusive Adjustment Bureau (or should that be blooro?) screening possible. Big pats on the back are also due to the lovely Laura at Denzille Private Cinema as well as beauty bigwigs Dove, Rimmel and Irish tan brand Wow Brown who provided products for the stripe-tastic goody bags.
Just some of the goody bag contents
In fact, also so generous were Johnson & Johnson and Vaseline that we had stuff left over from not only the recent Dublin Beaut.ie meetup but also the Cork one. So most of you got a few extra bits in your bags from those beauty behemoths too. We hope you enjoy!
Delicious foods, none of which I got to try because I was so busy chattin' 'n snappin'
Denzille Private Cinema holds just 30 people, so it's a really lovely intimate space. We drank wine, nibbled on antipasti, gourmet pizza, nachos and oilves, and after a happy hour or so chatting and imbibing we headed into the screening room.
So, what's the film like? Really enjoyable as it happens - we all had a bit of a laugh when (would-be) Senator David Norris took to the screen and everyone reckoned The Adjustment Bureau is a much more warm and humourous movie than the trailers let on. There are some gorgeous shots over New York and a beautiful dance piece in there too, thanks to the fact that Emily Blunt's character, Elise, is a contemporary dancer.
Without giving *anything* away, this is a love story with a twist or three: Emily Blunt and Matt Damon happen to be a star combination and have real on-screen chemistry, too. Plus, there's enough Matrix-meets-Inception-meets-Men in Black-style shenanigans to satisfy male viewers, but us bunch of ladies certainly rated it highly. Definitely one to catch on the big screen.
A last thanks should go to all you gals who came and supported the evening - we had a full house and it was lovely to put faces to blog-names. And now, on to the all-important social shots!

There are always amazing nails at our reader events: on your left you're looking at the Shellac-ed talons of Maryse from Universal Pictures (who got them done at South Anne Street's Nu Essence salon, fact fanz) and on the right are Roxette's midnight glue and gold-tipped talons. Delish.
