You may have seen me tweeting excitedly about these last week - Bourjois' best-selling glosss, Effet 3D (one's bought worldwide every 13 seconds apparently) has been reformulated, repackaged and basically fabulised-upwards.
There are now 15 shades in the range; nine existing and six new. Pretty, huh?
They gave me five to get busy with. From the top down, we've got Beige Elastic (existing), Rose Hypothetic (new), Rose Symphonic (existing), Framboise Tonic (new) and Rouge Democratic (new).

Gloss porn! The new formula is paraben-free and where Effet 3D previously provided colour, sparkle and shine, Bourjois has added a hydration element into the new lineup too - the idea is you get care and colour.
The wand's changed too - it's now a clear perspex cylinder with a brush applicator. I'm not madly gone on brush-tops for gloss because they can splay after a while, as you push them in and out of the tube. And when that happens, you find yourself glossing your nose and chin as well as your lips. Bobbi Brown's a particular offender here, so fingers crossed this won't happen with Bourjois' brushes.
Swatches? Sure thing, your wish is my command. From left to right we have Beige Elastic, Rose Hypothetic, Rose Symphonic, Framboise Tonic and Rouge Democratic.

I can't comment on the wear-factor yet having just swatched them and not much else, but here's what I do think is good: the pale shades provide a pale, light result (as you'd expect) and the darker, brighter shades follow their example and deliver the expected result. It's all too often the case that a gloss that looks super-vibrant in the tube transforms to a whishy washy hint of a tint on the skin, but in terms of what I've been given to try anyway, these live up to expectations. Hurrah!
