We took a look at Urban Decay's forthcoming Alice in Wonderland palette recently (currently selling on eBay for squillions, it won't be landing on counters here till March, and it's going to be a Debenhams exclusive) and it prompted a lot of discussion. While lots of you will be queuing up to buy come the launch day, several Beaut.ies commented on the shedding aspect that affects Urban Decay's shadows.
Ceci said, "I love the look of UD palettes and this one looks gorgeous, but I have to say their shadows have unbelievable fallout, drives me mental! And I think they go a bit overboard on the glitter." She wasn't the only one with an issue. Joanne chipped in too: "I just don’t get on with UD eyeshadows at all, have bits of eyeshadow down my cheek even after using primer. The glitter is too much as well."
Well gals, Urban Decay read your comments and got in touch to let us know that they're aware that not everyone is such a big glitter fan, so for spring, they're launching a new collection of glitter shadows called Stardust that have a far more sophisticated texture and technology behind them. Oh, well now, that piqued my interest. I love a bit of science, me. The release says that "powder-fine bits of glitter (40% more than our most dazzling shadows) miraculously feel silky smooth. No scratching, no fallout, just sexy sparkle. Stardust redefines glitter shadow."

The Stardust collection will land in March and will consist of nine new sparklers for €19 a go. If that seems pricey (and it is when you see that the sterling charge is £13.50 - pretty please UD, take a look at your pricing strategy) then take some solace from the fact that you'll get 3.5g of product per pan, over twice the size of the brands regular shadows, apparently.
There's also a new Primer Potion on the way. Sin (above centre) is a shimmering champagne-coloured primer that can be worn solo or under shadow to not only fix, but add a dimensional aspect to your look. The damage for this baby will be €17.
And I have some very nice news to round off this post - Urban Decay want to try to change some of the glitter-sceptics minds, so if Ceci, Joanne and Product Junkie can email their details to to [email protected], I'll arrange for the brand to send you on a little something from the Stardust collection to see if they can win you round.
