On counter on June 1st will be that pretty-looking piece of summer you see above. It's Tropiques Minerale Golden Croisette, €45, it'll be a limited-edition, and it's a bronzer that combines three shades to deliver a birrova bang of the Cote d'Azur.
Since I live in the Cote d'7, I'm pleased to report that you won't look like a sparkled-up Oompa Loompa on loan from a sweltering beach resort should you choose to buy, because this is nicely subtle and suits my pale skintone. While there's a little bit of the evil overspray in the form of the rope effect, it's not a major thing and won't affect how subsequent applications of the product look.
I had a bit of a dig in it too, and the other shades do seem to go the whole way through, meaning you will get the same results until you hit pan. While everything has a light pearlised finish, the bronze portion is very subtly shimmery with a hint of golden sparkle. The two peachy-pinks are more matte.

So, how could you use this? Because this is pricey, I am glad to report that there are three ways, I reckon: a light dusting all over the face can be used to set your foundation (a la Mac Mineralize Skinfinish) without adding a lot of colour. You could also build it up on the top of the cheekbones, temples and chin for a more trad bronzed look or you could pick out the peach shades to use as blush (you'd have to be fairly steady-handed though).
That all makes it a good-for-summer-hols style purchase - it's compact, it does a few things and it has a nice big mirror in the lid, helping to reduce what you need to lug along with you.
