Celebrating with your loved ones while looking and feeling your best is nothing short of amazing, and having the right makeup can add that boost of confidence to take any occasion to the next level.
This is especially true for Edel Morgan who is celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary with her husband Cyril. Like many people, Cyril made the difficult decision to move to Dubai to secure work during the recession. Happily, he moved back home last year and set up a successful salon in Limerick.
Now, delighted to have her husband home, Edel wants to create a makeup look that makes her feel extra special for their anniversary.
“I’d like to look that bit extra special,” she told Beaut. “A bit of an extra glow in my skin and to not look like I’m thirty years married!”
Renowned makeup artist Michelle Regazzoli Stone (AKA Mrs. Makeup on Instagram) knew exactly what products to use to achieve this look.
The result was a radiant and fresh look which Edel was delighted with. To create this look yourself, here are Michelle’s top tips:

Prep: Always look after your skin before using makeup. Michelle recommends using Inkey List’s Multibiotic moisturizer as a hydrating base for any makeup look.
Highlight: Michelle says to “polish” a powder highlight onto the high points of your cheeks. She does this by picking up BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop on a small tapered brush and gently buffing the product onto the top of the cheekbones.
Powder: To ensure your makeup lasts all night while still looking glowy, Michelle says to only powder your t-zone (your cheeks and forehead). This way, your makeup won’t look shiny after a couple of hours and you’ll still maintain that radiant finish.
