Sometimes one side of my brain doesn't trust the other side.
You see, while one half of my grey matter is currently swooning over all the fab summer cosmetic launches, the numskulls that live on the other side of that brain bridge are pulling the levers to raise an eyebrow and shouting about freezing fog and soggy socks.
Yes, they have a point. But sometimes a launch comes along that gets everyone interested and all my numskulls are in agreement that the upcoming Armani Maestro Mediterranea collection is a thing of absolute beauty.
The new additions to the Maestro Mediterranea Collection will join fabulous forces the original Maestro Fusion Makeup Complexion Perfector which launched in 2012 (you can read all about that here).
Now, this little fella was a game changer because it was created from the belief that texture was just as important as colour. It seemed like it was made of magic elastic - blendable, buildable and long-lasting.
And Armani have taken the science behind that Complexion Perfector and have adapted it to blush and bronzer.

The Maestro Liquid Summer Bronzer will be a limited edition, and will set you back €48 for 30ml. But you will just need the smallest drop to create some killer contouring.
It is designed to work with the Maestro Fusion Blush (€43), which will be available in three shades. A top tip from Linda Cantello, Giorgio Armani International Makeup Artist, is to mix, blend and layer these products to achieve a glowing complexion. Try popping a little Liquid Bronzer back over the Fusion Blush to really give a natural look and to avoid any hint of the dreaded Aunt Sally-painted cheeks makeup.
If powders are more your thing, then fear not because Armani have added bronzer and blush to their Fabrics range and I'll be taking a closer look at those later on this week.
Maestro Liquid Summer Bronzer and Maestro Fusion Blush will be available from May, exclusively at Brown Thomas Cork and Dublin.
