Big news for Issey Miyake fans: he's just launched his first female scent since L'eau d'Issey, which went on counter a whopping 17 years ago, and which I can't smell without thinking of that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer accuses Calvin Klein of robbing his 'beach' scent. It's an oceanic that's very much of its time.
This new boyo, simply called A Scent, (from €63 for 50ml) is in a similar zingy, sharp vein as the original, but more green and modern. It's very nice - fresh, light and ideal for day. But the bottle, designed by Arik Levy, is what's really captured my imagination.
Unlike yer usual flacon of scent, these babies come in one height and width, no matter the millilitre amount inside. The bottle doesn't get taller, it gets fatter, if you get me.

A clear case of thinking outside the bottle.
Or should that be inside the bottle?
Help. I'm confused!
