Revlon are a great bunch of lads for the foundation, aren't they? We've already listed them among our top picks for pale complexions (twice!) so I way dying to give Photoready Airbrush a roadtest.
Just released, this is one of the many new foamy formulations that brands seem to be racing to launch - we've had a look at the Maybelline-Dream-Nude-Airfoam and the Shu Uemura BB Mousse recently. A bottle is €19.40 and there are six shades available. As far as I can tell, the only differentiating factor between these and the foundations of yore, is how it leaves the bottle. Once you've squirted the foam onto the back of your hand pat it down, either with your fingers or a brush, until it melts into a liquid.
With the poof of foam patted into submission, application is straightforward. I liked to use this with a flat brush, to get the most out of the sheer coverage that it offers. I did worry that it would separate or cake, but Photoready Airbrush is quite happy in its blended out form and stays where it should be for the best part of the day.

Apparently, PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse contains "photochromatic pigments" that react to light, resulting in skin that looks airbrushed. I had a good squint in the mirror and couldn't locate any of these guys - unless photochromatic pigments look suspiciously like tiny flecks of glitter, in which case, there were a couple.
If you're expecting this to transform your skin to peaches and cream when somebody gets their camera out, you'll be disappointed: the coverage is quite light.
Unwarranted airbrush claims aside, it's oil free, something that'll work well with the humid summer weather (shut up, I can dream, can't I?) and has a pretty, demi-matte finish. Those with normal and oily skins will rejoice, but flaky folk like myself may have some problems -I had one or two dry patches on my cheeks and nose and they were highlighted. On a good skin day, I'd get away with it but it's not something I'd reach for regularly.

Does the new-ish foamy aspect turn you off or are you chomping at the bit to give it a go?
