Searching for a foundation that's not too dewy but not too matte, and don't fancy splashing the cash? Then Rimmel's latest foundation offering could be exactly what you're looking for.
It's available in 5 shades - that's not a lot, but they're designed to adapt to your skin's tone and texture (hence the match perfection moniker) and provide good coverage alongside a natural, second skin finish. Add to that the glass bottle, pump applicator, an SPF of 18 and some radiance boosting technology to boot, and you're getting an awful lot of bang for your just-under-a-tenner-buck.
But here's the thing: it totally delivers! I'm so, so impressed with the quality of budget bases that we've seen this year - this one joins the ranks of L'Oreal's Lumi Magique, Bourjois Healthy Mix serum, Maybelline Fit Me and Max Factor Facefinity in seriously giving some higher-end brands a run for their money.

What I particularly like about Match Perfection is that it offers great staying power for a mass market brand. I wore it out on Saturday and it lasted me through afternoon tea, Christmas shopping and dinner and drinks with friends - several of whom commented on how great my skin looked (and underneath, it's really not too hot). Coverage is medium, the finish is satin and it felt comfortable and lightweight on the skin.
Yup, this one's a keeper. Have you tried it yet? Are you tempted?
