Pre-Decorated Stick On Nails: What Think Ye?

broadway-charming.jpg

There are two things I don't really go for when it comes to fancying up me talons: French manicures (not enough lasting in them, considering they're so flippin' fiddly to do), nail art (tackalicious), and stick-on nails in too-long lengths (just eww). Ok, so apparantly there are three things I don't really go for when it comes to fancying up me talons.

Bit ironical, then, that the Broadway stick-ons I'm currently sporting tick all three of these taboo boxes! Bought for New Year's Eve in Monart (oh, did I mention I was in Monart? I know, I nearly hate me too) in a panicky "won't-have-time-to-paint-my-nails-but-ooh-I-could-stick-these-on-in-the-car" flap, I actually only got around to putting them on last night. Partly because I've been trying to decide whether I think they're nice and just a little, subtle bit different or whether they're absolutely mingin', and er partly because I forgot that it gets dark early in Ireland in the depths of winter and messing about with nail glue in Himself's motor after 5pm on the 31st December would be a bit iffy on many, many levels.

bdn02.jpgBroadway now do a whole range of these decorated nails that feature glitter, airbrushed designs or little accent stones. I went with “Charming” in their Fast French Designs line, which are French manicured nails with a white and silver micro-glitter design and two teeny tiny pearls on the tips just a few of the nails. These Fast French Designs nails only come in medium length, way too long for my stunted digits, so I clipped and filed the base of them to shorten them a wee bit.

Despite my misgivings, I have to admit that I really, really like them... have I lost my mind altogether?
