You've never seen Mat Damon with this much hair. It's so vast in quantity that he's had to administer some kind of grease in an attempt to tame it's volume. To put it another way, he's putting Chris Hemsworth's Thor to shame.
By the by, he's promoting a film called - yes, The Great Wall (the one in China), but his pony tail is so much more important than that. According to Vanity Fair, the film "cost a reported $150 million to make, required 28 sets and the construction of an elaborate faux Great Wall, and represents one of the largest movie collaborations between China and the U.S. to date - the only element of the press conference that seems to have resonated with the Internet is Damon’s new ponytail."

But what of the big burning question - will it feature in his new film The Great Wall? As Damon portrays a 15th-century mercenary, we can confirm that yes, yes it does feature. Go see it.
Mission accomplished, proud pony tail. At ease, soldier.
