I began to write this post as a thinly veiled excuse to put Get Lucky on the site but while "researching" Pharrell I found out something truly astounding that I DID NOT KNOW.
He just turned 40 on April 5th.
And he hasn't a line on his face. And if he has they're so blurred I can't see them. Apologies for the pun, I won't make any more... maybe.
I'm not putting up the Blurred Lines video cos it's just so nasty and cheap and sexist as they come. And it makes Pharrell look like a creep. Let's just think of him as the smoothie in the Get Lucky vid.

But how does he do it? He looks like he's in his (early) twenties. Two genetic factors are in his favour: one, men age better than women. And two (as the old saying goes, oft repeated by that lovely lady Naomi Campbell), black don't crack. Different ethnicities seem to age better than others and manly skin is thicker and oilier than women's so it doesn't line at the same rate.
There's a whole 'thing' about hip hop stars who never seem to age. P Diddy is another one - however as his secret probably involves something VILE involving threesomes and elixer of semen we won't even go there. Actually I wrote about his grooming routine a while back - it involves lots of manscaping OF COURSE.
We all know someone who never seems to age (Beaut.ie Mammy IS that woman. She puts it down to using Vaseline to take off her makeup - seriously).
