I must admit I hardly ever exfoliate my face. I’ve just used too many dodgy exfoliators that made my face break out or were WAY too scrubby or seemed to do very little at all.
I have combination sensitive skin and it tends to freak out after a scrub. But recently it’s been dull and rough and I knew I needed something to sort it out.
I picked up Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub. It’s a triple action face polish that promises to refine brighten and renew. Can’t argue with that!
It’s got glycolic and salicylic acid, plus it works as a physical exfoliator. I was a bit chairy about using glycolic acid, but this has a fairly low concentration – 3%. I’ve been applying it once a week, allowing it to sit for a few minutes before gently removing it with a facecloth.

It’s got a nice fresh lemony scent and dense, quite fine granules that buff without feeling overly abrasive. From the first use I could see my skin brightening up, and over the course of a few weeks I definitely noticed an improvement in texture.
I’ve GOT to invent a device that can measure tiny differences in pore size, because I could SWEAR they’re smaller since I started using this. Or if not smaller, then less filled with crud. Either way, it’s a winner!
It’s €14.29 for 75mls, but you only need a smidge to do your whole face and neck. I highly recommend it, even for exfolo-phobics like me.
Have you tried an exfoliator like this and have you got one you rate - or hate? (Have a look at some of the other brands we've reviewed too).
