While this is such special time for you and your baby, it can also be a time when you are tired and perhaps not feeling your best. Achieving a makeup look that takes five minutes and lets you look that bit fresher and more awake is the goal for most mums, including Nikita Ryan.
Nikita is a mum of two. She is currently on maternity leave with her son Jackson who is ten months, along with her daughter Daisy who is four years old. Nikita wanted to learn how to achieve a look that will help her look and feel better throughout the day, without taking too much time. Makeup artist Paula Callan knows exactly where new mums are coming from. Having four kids herself, she knows what it’s like to not have a minute to yourself in the mornings. However, with the right products, Paula shows that it doesn’t take that long to create a fresh glowing look.
Paula created a glowing, healthy base using Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream and The Inkey List Caffeine Serum, instantly making Nikita’s skin appear more radiant. She then applied to concealer to Nikita’s under-eye area to combat any hint of “tired mum” dark circles. Paula recommends using IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer to achieve this.
She then lightly defined Nikita’s brows which framed her face beautifully – this is the quickest way to look a bit more put together if you’re in a hurry.
