In news that won't really have Kate and Georgia May sobbing into their cornflakes, Rimmel have just announced Cara Delevingne as their new brand ambassador.
And with a batch of films coming out this year including Suicide Squad and Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, 2016 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years yet for this model and actress (the fact that she is only 23 merely serves to send me off into the thoughts abyss of 'what-have-I-been-doing-with-my-life').
Sometimes I see the announcement of a brand ambassador and think that it's a really bad pairing. For example, those Nespresso ads with George Clooney and Jack Black make me actively want to not buy their Christmas-baubles of coffee pods. But Cara seems a good match for the Rimmel brand, both a bit edgy and urban.
This isn't the first time that Cara and Kate will have worked on brands together; Burberry and Mango have seen them combine their supermodel talents.
And sure they always seem to be having the craic on the FROW.

For her part, Cara said “I’m honoured to be working with Rimmel London. It’s the first make-up brand I was introduced to as a teenager. I’m a London girl through and through and Rimmel London truly captures and represents the city’s edgy, cosmopolitan beauty styles.”
Yeah, Cara, but did you also wear Heather Shimmer lipstick like a true teenager, riddle me that?
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to reassess my life decisions, see if I can find a bullet of Heather Shimmer down the pack of the bathroom cabinet and drink non-Christmas-bauble-packaged caffeinated beverage.
