Right, I've cracked it. I know why this lipstick/ gloss combo is kiss proof. It's because you don't have a snowballs of anyone trying to kiss you while you've go it on. Look at the ad wha? Even sexy Mila can't get a snog outta yer man. He's hovering around the mouth area but he's not going in for the kill is he? Instead he's decided the safest bet is to land on the area beside her lips. Sensible lad.
I should have known. The writing was on the wall. I tried out a couple of shades on my hand before hurrying to the till with my chosen colour. Later on (hours later on) I noticed the stripes of colour still on my hand. Like cement. Caked. I had to scrape them off with my nail.
Well, it was certainly staying put.
Undeterred I applied the lipstick the next day. It felt dry as sawdust and tasted plasticky on my lips. Then came the second stage: the clear gloss to go over the top. UGH! Sticky sticky sticky. Also tasting horrible. You reapply the gloss when you need to.

It does last. Unfortunately. You have to scrub it off in fact. Or use a "special long lasting makeup remover" as L'Oreal helpfully point out on the instructions. Luckily they've just brought one of these out too.
So here's the thing. Do you buy your lipstick so it will stay welded to your lips through eating drinking kissing. Or do you just line your lips with a good lip liner and reapply your gorgeous lipstick or gloss when it wears off?
Is longlastingness the be all and end all? Foundation yes. But lipstick?
What are your thoughts?
