A new pretty peony colour collection, Pivoine Flora, is incoming from L'Occitane on 23rd May and will be super exclusive darling, dropping into only five stores. Look for it in Dublin at the Wicklow Street, Dundrum and Liffey Street branches, in Cork it'll be appearing at 111 Oliver Plunkett Street and Limerick's 1 Thomas Street will also be graced with the collection. Shades are floral-inspired, echoing the shades found in the peony and L'Occitane's textures are light and silky with powders featuring in card packaging.
Natural and nice they may be, these products are not shrinking violets: read on because several of them have something interesting or unexpected going on which makes this launch a lot more exciting on the drill-down than it appears on a first glance.
Above you're looking at the Petals Eye Quartet, €31.50. Four shades look like they'll suit those who go for pinks and lilacs and this apparently features a detachable mirror. So that's the point of difference here. Ok, nice idea, but not spectacular. Lets move on.
This is one of four Duo Eyeshadows that will be available at €19.50 each. Envolee Lilas is the colourway; there'll also be Blanche Etoile, Corail Quadrille, Rose Tutu. Point of difference here? Blend the two shades together for a third, unexpected, new colour, apparently. Sounds interesting - I look forward to getting one to try and swatch.

Above you're looking at the Facecolour Cream Duo, also €19.50. Enriched with softening Peony extract and delicately perfumed, this texture glides on with fingertips, say the brand. Dual-sided, one portion contains a matte blush and the other houses a pearlised colour to adjust intensity on cheeks. Not sure what the stripe in the middle is there for - again, this needs some more investigating, I think. This is the Beige Ballet shade, if I'm not mistaken, we'll also see this in Rose Reverence and Arabesque Abricot.
These look absolutely delish: from left to right we have Lipstick, €18.50, which'll come in four shades - Cuivre Royal, Rose Pique, Vaise Fuschia (above) and Tourbillon Cerise. These will be perfumed and from experience L'Occitane lipsticks are on the sheer side but nicely moisturising, so a good bet for care and colour.
In the middle is Lip Shine, €15.50, an almost tint-like product that's quite unique. Thicker than a regular tinted water but not a gloss or liquid lipstick, it gives good colour. Four shades of this will launch too - Rose Ballerine, Brun Pirouette, Peche Farandole (above) and Point Grenadine. This is definitely worth taking a look at. Last here is Incredible Lip Shine, €13.95. A Smashbox O Glow-style product, it transforms into the rose shade to sit you. Yep, we've seen these before, but did you ever think you'd be buying one from L'Occitane?
There's one more product in the collection and that's Healthy Glow Face Powder, €31.50. A complexion-warming powder to enhance and highlight, apparently.
So, a nice little edit - will you take a wander in store to check it out on May 23rd?
