Mainly because we're all nerds about makeup and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of eyeliner styles, lipstick shades and different ways to contour. For an effortlessly chic look, you can't go wrong with a French Girl chic matte lipstick. Keep skin minimal, hair a little tousled and add mascara to finish the look.

If you want makeup that isn't too crazy then swapping a black liner for a brown is always an option. The over all effect is softer but will still define eyes.
