Bit wary of wearing metallic shades, though? Don't be, says Bobbi Brown's head of artistry, Paul Herrington. "Metallics really can work on all ages as the texture is not frosted so the effect is much more of a soft sheen", he reckons.
Paul adds a caveat: "you should always pick an area to use shine and shimmer. Two areas is the most you should ever use metallic or shimmer products. Metallic eye and lip looks best with a powder blush with no shimmer; or a shimmer on the cheek and a glossy lip should be teamed with a matte eye".
