Penneys' new PS... K-Pop collection might look like it's just for kids but it's got some quality shades in the selection
At a first look, this collection looks like something that you would give to a ten-year-old. It is in pretty little girlie packaging and basically looks like play makeup. We thought this would be perfect for little girls but we got quite a surprise when we swatched the collection. The collection is inspired by the Korean K-Pop beauty trend. South Korea is leading the way in beauty at the moment and they do love some colour!
The pigment in the eyeshadows was pretty impressive. You can see from the swatches that the colours are vibrant and relatively opaque for a such a low-priced palette. The colours might not be everybody's cup of tea but if you are a makeup lover, this eyeshadow palette is worth having in your collection. I always like to have a vibrant yellow eyeshadow on hand. Bright colours come in handy for festival season and for mixing and blending eye makeup looks. There is even a really gorgeous sandy-brown that will work as the perfect transition colour.
The highlighters are a little too coloured for my taste, but could be cool used as eyeshadows or again, for festival makeup. They give an impressive shimmer and the pinky ones could work well as a blusher and highlight in one.

The cream highlighters, again, have serious high-shine and could be really pretty mixed into your foundation for a really dewy look in summer.
As you can see from the swatches, the products are full of colour and full of texture too. Prices start from just €1.50 so we reckon there's no reason not to add these to your collection.
