Lynnie's post last week about wearing blue shadow got me a-thinkin'. Her advice was to go for the darker option, and she's spot on. Kylie and Lily Allen's flouro stripes from a couple of years ago are old hat this season, and while sharp slashes of coloured liner are back, the look has a more modern interpretation this time round.

So look for colours with a lot of black in them, like Lynnie's suggested midnight blue - a firm favourite of mine too, by the way. No7 are on-trend with gel inks (about €15) in peacock tones, like the dark green above, and they're also rolling out a jewel-inspired palette, as seen above left. €16 is the damage here, and it's ideal for smokey eyes with a coloured twist. Use the colours wet for more intensity, or if you want a sharp finish.
