You'll never convince me that hands that do dishes can be soft as your face, unless that face belongs to Peig Sayers, and then yes, yes indeed I'll believe you.
So a straggly brow was raised in Beaut.ie HQ yesterday when we received an email trumpeting the sudsy launch of Fairy Clean & Care with a touch of Olay softness. Launched by er, Erin O'Connor. According to 100% factual source Wikipedia, in 2007 The Sunday Times considered her to be the 39th richest person under 30 in the UK, with an estimated wealth of £12 million quid. And now she's doing washing up promos.
Oh well, I guess times are hard for us all, eh?
So, the Fairy shenanigans: they've whipped a bit of Olay active PQ10 into the grease-bustin' mix to help leave hands smoother post-pan scrubbing. It's also used in other Olay products like cleansers and its body and face washes, and you'll now find it included in the Aloe & Cucumber, Silk and Orchid, Almond and Peach and Mandarin Fairy flavours.

Now, I would be of the opinion that if you wash up regularly and care about your paws you'll be a firm fan of the wonderous invention that is the rubber glove - I know I am - so it really doesn't matter to me what's in washing up liquid cos that stuff's not touching my skin.
What do you lot reckon, though: Will Olay's touch of softness be enough to compensate for the surfactant-packed potion that Fairy needs to be in order to clean dirty dishes effectively? Or do you perhaps you think this is a fab idea altogether and the PQ10 will help cancel out the skin-drying that Fairy causes precisely because it's so good at getting rid of grease? Let us know in the comments.
