Instant Effects Cosmetics promises just that, products that work as soon as they're on your face
Instant Effects is the brainchild of Richard Mears who reckons the skincare market is saturated with products in pretty packaging that just don't deliver on any of their promises. So, he created this cosmetics line to be a stylish brand with effectiveness at its core.
There are just three products in the range: a lip plumper, an eye lift cream and a lash-boosting serum. Each product has been formulated with ingredients they say deliver significant visible results within minutes. Minutes! Mears says: “I only want to create and be responsible for products that actually deliver true efficacy. If they do not out-perform every other product within the category, the product will not be launched."
But, come on. Results in minutes? I'll be honest; this all sounds too good to be true. I am a sceptic when products make claims like these. However, I love lash serums, and I have seen great results from them before. What's interesting about this one is that it is also 'proven' to help grow back over plucked and sparse eyebrows, and that is something I would love to see.

I have just started using the lash serum and so far so good, although it's hard to tell if it has made a difference in just a week. They say that lashes will increase in length by 20% and in volume by a whopping 40% in just four to eight. Watch this space - I will come back in six weeks time and give you my verdict.

This kind of lip plumping product is trendy at the moment, with budget makeup brands like Catrise even getting in on the action. This one apparently gives a plumper pout in 2 minutes (with even further results after an hour). We like that it also claims to increase hydration and reduce lines, something our prune lips could do with.
