Oh dear... another post of disappointment.
This is becoming too much of a habit for my liking!
I usually LOVE anything John Frieda and find it does exactly what it says it will do. Fights frizz, increases shine, silkys up hair - and all for a Very Reasonable price.
But I HATE this Curl Controller stuff. Part of the Frizz Ease range it's a serumy/gel stuff thats supposed to tame and define curls.

It makes them crispy. After a day it turns your hair into dull straw.
And there's nothing we curly girls hate more - am I right?
