Yup. We can hardly believe it, but in September 2006, Aisling and I started Beaut.ie as a hobby and a fun way to chat about the products we'd been buying and using. Five years later, we're just about to hit our 8,000th post and the site has grown above and beyond our wildest expectations into a blog that's still about beauty, sure, but it's so much more than that nowadays.
It's also a social space for so many of you who come and chat each day. We're really proud of that. We've got brilliant contributors in Lynnie and xgirl as well as Principessa who moderates Swap Siopa so smoothly. Speaking of that, we've also got Forums, the aforementioned Swap Siopa, we've got daily and monthly newsletters, oft-tended Facebook and Twitter presences and (come October!) two books. The last half decade has been, quite frankly, bloody amazing - and life changing.
We've won awards, held awards, hosted events, met incredible people, made brilliant friends, spoken at swanky seminars as experts in our field (imagine!) and appeared on radio and TV. And it's all because of Beaut.ie, that lil' ole blog we started for a bit of fun. We're blown away when we think of all that's happened as a result of it, and we're so thrilled you all come and read every day. Thank you.
