A glowing complexion - some are born with it, and others have to work a little harder for. But did you know that you can snack your way to better skin?
We are continually striving for a glowing complexion here at Beaut HQ. Although, we should probably say it's a naturally glowing complexion we're after. Because as you know, highlighters can go a long way to helping fake the effect. Makeup is our friend, we love it and will always love it. But there's something to be said about being able to go makeup free, without feeling like a sack of spuds.
Skincare is important too, of course, whether you're a devotee of the Korean 12-step routines or like to stick to something simpler. But as the old adage goes - you are what you eat. So here's our guide to snacking your way, to a brighter, healthier complexion.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is essential for healthy skin cell growth and protection against cell damage too. It helps to give our skin bounce and suppleness. You can find vitamin E naturally in avocado, almonds and hazelnuts.

Zinc
Zinc is an important one for anyone who suffers with congestion and acne. It helps to repair skin (to keep it soft and supple) and also aid and regulate the natural function of the sebaceous glands. There are plenty of Zinc-rich foods out there including sunflower seeds, whole grains, fish and lean red meat.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is considered a super antioxidant. Not only does it help to support the immune system, but it also helps to produce collagen and heal spots properly to prevent scarring. An orange might be the first thing you think of when it comes to Vitamin C, but other fruits and vegetables such as broccoli, blueberries and sweet potatoes will provide it too.
Selenium

Another powerful anti-oxidant, selenium works alongside vitamin E and C to help the immune system and skin health. One of the easiest ways to stock up on selenium is by eating just four brazil nuts a day. Although if you're not into nuts (or can't eat them), mushrooms are jam-packed with it too.
Will you be snacking your way to better skin? Or do you do it already?
