Twiggy's iconic Sixties look goes perfectly with all the fashion on trend right now - and it's surprisingly easy to achieve. The monochrome look relies on a sparse palette of - you've guessed it - blacks and whites. With a such a heavy emphasis on the eyes keep your foundation pale, blusher very light (absolutely no bronzer here) and lipstick pale and pretty.
So here's how you do it.
- Apply white eyeshadow to eyelids and create a striking contrast in the crease of the eyes with a black shade. We're staying matte with this one - try Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in White
- Lining the inside of the eyes with white eyeliner will make your eyes big and wide. Can't guarantee they'll be as saucer-like as Twiggy's, but sure give it a go. Christian Dior Kohl Pencil in White is a winner
- Lots and lots and lots of black eyeliner and mascara are next. Check out the Stila kit:
Black Is The New Black - it has the lot plus a black smudge pot. A mascara primer would work very well here to bulk up lashes - Dot white eyeliner or shadow on a tiny brush between the lower lashes after mascara is applied
- Make sure brows are defined, a slick of pink lipstick - and you're totally groovy baby
Now get out there and get you inner modette on.
