Kudos to Garnier for being first out of the traps with a BB cream for the European market, and an affordable one at that. But while I wanted to love it, it was too shiny for me - and I wasn't a fan of the fragrance or yellowish cast to the product, either.
Their latest launch, though, is an entirely different animal. Aimed at combo to oily skin, this time I'm smack bang in their target market. And since BBs and me have been having a moment, I was only too happy when this one arrived in the post.

The claims? Shine control's the biggie, with some skin perfecting, pore minimising action on the side. And I really think a lot of you will like this: it applies and blends well, wears nicely, lasts wells and keeps oil under control throughout the day. Coverage is better than sheer, edging more towards a light foundation.SPF20 is a bonus, and at €14.99, the price is right, too.
As with a lot of BB creams this is only available in two shades, light and medium, so if you're darker I'm afraid you're out of luck - check out Maybelline's offering, instead. And there's an initial bang of alcohol off this when it's first applied, but it dissipates quickly enough.
Otherwise, though, this is a pretty great product and I look forward to seeing what's next in the pipeline from Garnier's BB cream stable - watch this space!
Tempted to try it? It's out now.
