It's not new, it's not different, but the auld fish pedi is firmly back and on the beauty treatment menu at one Dublin salon. Making waves a couple of years ago (making waves! oh I kill me, etc) at a salon down in Limerick, I really did think this particular gimmick was gone for good. Nope, nibbly critters can cure your corns at Margarita beauty salon in Sutton Cross.
Here's the gen:
"Originating in the pools of a hot spring near Kangal, a small town in Turkey, the fish pedicure involves placing feet in a warm water pool of Garra Rufa fish or Doctor Fish, as they are commonly known. The 125 specially selected fish begin to investigate, seeking out and removing dead skin, bacteria and calluses while rejuvenating healthy skin. As the fish have no teeth they act as a stimulating and relaxing massage running their little suction cup mouths across the feet and toes."

DEFINITELY not for me but I know all the arguments for the therapy (good for psoriasis sufferers and so on) - I just don't fancy finned creatures having a chomp on my bits. Would you go for one of the treatments? Tell all in the comments!
