Here's the first look at Smashbox's Camera Ready BB Cream SPF35 which will arrive on Irish counters in March for €40. Sterling-wise it'll be £33, so very well done, Smashbox - that's a like-for-like conversion at current rates. More of this please, brands!
But back to the product, one of the biggest beauty buzzes of the moment. Reworked from the Asian originals for the European and US markets, the BBs we're seeing are copies, adapted to suit our different tones and needs. This is an oil- and fragrance-free five-in-one multi-tasker that's claiming to hydrate, prime, perfect, protect and control oil in the skin. A pretty big boast, eh? Like other products, this can be worn as a first step beauty base beneath foundation or alone.
So far, so like the other BBs we've seen here, but this will come in four shades (fair, light, medium and dark, with one more, light/medium to come later in the year) as opposed to the limiting two we've seen from brands like Garnier, Estee Lauder and Clinique, and it has a far higher SPF than many as well, a big point in its favour. Further to that, it goes one better with its perfecting claim: Smashbox says you'll see a 21% reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles, a 22% improvement in skin moisturisation and a reduction in skin surface sebum after four weeks of product use.

Whether that's the case will be proven in the testing, but hey, it all sounds interesting, eh?
