I've been meaning to sing the praises of the 'Peace of Mind' range from Origins for a while now. Their On-The-Spot Relief treatment [€15.50] is absolutely brilliant for relieving those noggin-feels-like-it's-in-a-vicegrip hormonal and tension headaches that painkillers just can't overcome. Origins call this "a mind-clearing formula" and it really is: I can literally feel the pressure melting away and my thoughts untangling as I use it.
The Tension-Releasing Vapor Bath also does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a great, relaxing bath soak that helps to destress the mind as well as alleviate any physical tension or aching muscles. My one gripe is that I have to pour bucketloads of the stuff into the tub in order to get a discernible whiff of the soothing basil, peppermint and eucalyptus vapours. At €28 a pop, it's a bit dear for that kind of malarky.
The other products in the range run the gamut from aromatic diffusing oils to gumballs, but I think On-The-Spot is the star of the 'Peace of Mind' stable. It's become one of my Holy Grail products and comes everywhere with me, which is saying something.
