We've said it before and we'll say it again, fragrance is the easiest way to pop a little luxury into your life. You really can smell the difference between expensive and purse-friendly scents so it makes you feel a bit fancy even when you're dressed head to toe in high street.
The great thing about designer fragrances is that they last for ages (on you and in the bottle) so you can have that fancy feeling every day if you wish or you can save it for special occasions to make them extra-special. Or, you know, wear yours in bed á la Marilyn Monroe and her Chanel No. 5.
Chanel is the absolute classic in luxury perfume but there are a few new scents arriving in Ireland soon that might pique your interest.
- Giorgio Armani Armani Code Satin
Armani Code Satin is a playful take on the original Armani Code Eau de Parfum. It's a floriental scent with Neroli at the heart. It's very nice and sleek, but we can't help but think that the bottle belongs in a set of Cludo (as in, you could knock someone's block off quite handily with the thing!).
Available August 19th 2015. RRP 30 ml €49, 50ml €63, 75ml €79
- Lancome La Vie Est Belle L'Eau de Parfum Intense
Another re-imagining, this L'Eau de Parfum is , you guessed it, a *says it sultrily* intense version of the popular La Vie Est Belle L'Eau de Parfum. It follows the same base design but has added tuberose and hazelnut. The bottle is very pretty indeed - we love the bow. It reminds us of a dinky little scarf Audrey Hepburn would wear around her delicate neck.

- Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Toilette
This is an interesting one; it's a take on the Black Opium Eau de Parfum but with a green coffee accord, which takes on the signature note floral coffee note of the eau de parfum. The bottle reflects the scent; it's deep, moody and glamorous.
Available August 19th. RRP 30 ml €48, 50 ml €62, 90 ml €92
- Armani / Privé La Collection Ambre Eccentrico
We're going to admit it, we drooled over the bottle. How flipping gorgeous is that cap? We would put this bottle in a room of its own (we'll sleep on the couch). The scent is sophistication to the max, based around a spicy woody amber accord and it also features unexpected, slinky notes of Cinnamon Bark Essence and Prunol.
Available Exclusively at Brown Thomas Cork and Dublin from August 26th, RRP €195
