The spring collection from Estee Lauder, Pure Colour Topaz, launches from February so not long to wait - we previewed it a few weeks ago. Lovely and all as it looks in the visuals, I was pretty underwhelmed by it when the samples arrived. See, inspired as it is by the desert and sand and sun and all that, everything is very, very warm.
Nothing eye or cheek-wise is a good match for a pale girl at all - darker skintones will be very very happy which is great - and so the one standout for me is the Pure Colour Nail Lacquer in Teal Topaz, €20.

This, my dears, is gawjus. A creme shade, I'm a bit partial to Estee's lacquer formulation anyway. It's generally hassle-free, good to go in two coats and this doesn't differ. Aquas are the shades of the season if this baby and Dior's stunning green (and scented) Waterlily are anything to go by and I keep taking this off and putting it back on again. It's a great colour.
My nails and cuticles are in rag bleedin' order - I very much need to take Lynnie's hand-fixin' advice - but this is such a nice shade. Love it.
